Boris Pašalić i Darko Tomaš posjetili kompaniju Mladegs Pak

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of the Republic of Srpska, Boris Pasalic, and his team visited the company, Mladegs Pak, in Prnjavor. On that occasion, he visited the food production plant and discussed the business conditions with the management. Pasalic pointed out that this company has a stable market, good production, and quality products, but that they lack agricultural land to expand production.

"They have the desire and intention to further invest in the processing of agricultural products because now they procure a lot of semi-finished products on the foreign market. Our task is to provide the necessary areas together with the local government, and we talked about that the most today," said Pasalic.

He pointed out that the relevant ministry already has a proposal for a solution that could be implemented soon.

The owner of Mladegs Pak, Srdjan Vrhovac, emphasized that the company is entering a new project of growing and processing tomatoes. "We took new equipment that makes 100 tons of ketchup a day, so we need our raw materials, but also cooperative relations. We also need a minimum of 150 hectares of land, but we are looking for 400 hectares because of the crop rotation", Vrhovac emphasized. The meeting was also attended by the mayor of Prnjavor, Darko Tomas, who says that Mladegs Pak is a company with decades of experience and business rating, which generated revenue of 27 million KM last year.

"In the area of the municipality of Prnjavor, there are more than 2,500 hectares of agricultural land, of which about 1,300 hectares can be given under concession and lease. For this company, the most interesting agricultural land would be mostly related to the local community of Strpci, considering that there is a possibility of irrigation on these plots", explained Tomas. He says that the expansion of this company is also in the interest of the local community because that will create conditions for new jobs.
